Teresa heads and assists in managing our North Bay service areas. A 15-plus year driving instructor veteran, Teresa has literally taught thousands of teens and adults students throughout the Bay Area. Teresa is our Lead Academy Instructor overseeing our North Bay service areas. A strong reputation in driver training excellence, she is highly requested as one of our top in-demand driving instructor.
In addition, Teresa is a Bay Area native and grew up in San Mateo County where she still currently resides. Along with Carrie, Teresa is our resident expert in all things driver training. Highly recommend. Teresa made my teen feel comfortable driving during the 1st lesson, even though she had never driven a car before that day.
After 2 hrs. my daughter had driven on residential and commercial streets, and an expressway (45 mph). The 2nd lesson included highway driving. During the 3rd lesson (recommended a couple weeks before actual DMV test), the instructor acted like a person giving DMV test. This includes checking that the car has working lights, turn signals, emergency/hazard lights, etc. before driver can start the driving portion of actual DMV test. And knowing how to turn on radio _without_ turning on engine.
For Prius, push Start button _without pushing the brake_ , to turn on just radio. Push Start button twice to use windows and A/C. Pushing Start the 3rd time, turns everything off.
My daughter also thought Teresa was funny. 8/8/2016

Instructor Theresa, Carrie and Jenn, had lessons with all of them. Wonderful, kind and positive people to practice and improve your driving, they have a very positive way of correcting your negatives, which is what makes them great. They drive very similar vehicles, thus taking lessons from any of them does not affect learning the experience
The website is well built user friendly and the whole system is robust. Great experience with them. I highly recommend them 12/24/2016
I had a few lessons with both carrie and teresa and i must say i enjoyed all of them. Not only were they effective in teaching someone that has never driven before but they were also surprisingly human and enjoyable to talk to. Both teresa and carrie have a great sense of humor and i dont know about their other students but we couldnt stop laughing during our conversations about stuff i swear id only have with my close friends. Ill keep in touch with them via text cuz their that awesome. I wanna personally thank you both for helping me get my license, i never thought id be driving today if it werent for you two. Sheds a tear, sniff sniff. Okay im all good. :p 12/13/2016
We are pleased with Bay Area Driving Academy. Our teen daughter was taught by Teresa, very positive experience and online reschedule is very easy, which is a plus for busy parents and teen.
