Welcome to Bay Area Driving Academy (“BADA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website, enrolling in services, scheduling lessons, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Services Provided
Bay Area Driving Academy is a California DMV-licensed, insured, and bonded driving school offering:
- Behind-the-wheel driver training
- Teen and adult driving instruction
- Specialized driving courses
- Online driver education (where applicable)
- Road test preparation services
Enrollment in any service constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. How It Works
Scheduling Lessons
Students may:
- Book lessons through our online scheduling system
- Request scheduling assistance by phone, text, or email
- Choose available lesson packages or individual courses
Lesson availability is subject to instructor schedules, service areas, traffic logistics, and operational considerations.
Scheduling Adjustments
While we strive to honor all scheduled appointments, Bay Area Driving Academy reserves the right to adjust:
- Instructor assignment
- Lesson date or time
- Pickup/drop-off logistics
- Meeting locations when necessary
Students will be notified of any changes.
3. Student Eligibility
Students must:
- Hold a valid California learner’s permit or California driver’s license when required
- Meet California legal age requirements
- Provide accurate registration information
- Follow instructor directions at all times
Parents/guardians must enroll minors under 18.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due at time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
We accept approved forms of payment listed on our website.
Lesson packages, prepaid services, and online courses are subject to pricing at time of purchase.
Prices may change without prior notice.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
24-Hour Notice Required
A minimum 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson.
Late Cancellations / No-Shows
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, missed appointments, or no-shows may incur a $100.00 cancellation fee.
Repeated no-shows may result in suspension or cancellation of future scheduling privileges.
Emergency Exceptions
We may, at our sole discretion, consider exceptions for documented emergencies.
Weather Policy
Lessons generally proceed in normal weather conditions.
Lessons may be rescheduled only when severe weather creates safety concerns as determined by the school.
6. Refund Policy
Unused prepaid lessons may be eligible for refund or credit in accordance with our refund policy.
Refunds may not be issued for:
- Completed lessons
- Partially used lesson packages (except as required by law)
- Missed appointments or late cancellations
- Online courses already accessed or completed, where applicable
Transaction processing fees may be non-refundable.
7. Lesson Policies
Training Vehicles
Lessons are conducted in school vehicles equipped for instruction and safety.
Student Responsibilities
Students agree to:
- Arrive on time and prepared
- Bring permit/license when required
- Wear corrective lenses if legally required
- Refrain from drugs, alcohol, or impairment
Lessons may be terminated without refund if a student appears impaired or unsafe.
8. Safety and Instructor Authority
Student and instructor safety is our highest priority.
Instructors may end or refuse a lesson if:
- Conditions are unsafe
- Student conduct creates risk
- Student refuses instruction
- Vehicle operation poses danger
No refunds are guaranteed for terminated lessons due to safety violations.
9. Road Test Disclaimer
Bay Area Driving Academy does not guarantee:
- Passing any DMV examination
- Issuance of a permit or driver license
- Specific test outcomes
Results depend on student preparation, performance, and California DMV standards.
10. Liability
Driving involves inherent risk.
By enrolling, students assume ordinary risks associated with driver training.
Bay Area Driving Academy is not responsible for:
- DMV decisions
- Delays beyond our control
- Third-party system failures
- Indirect or incidental damages to the extent permitted by law
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under California law.
11. Service Area and Pick-Up Policy
Complimentary pick-up/drop-off may be available within designated service areas.
Additional travel fees or alternate meeting locations may apply outside service zones.
12. Website Use
All website content, materials, logos, curriculum, and intellectual property belong to Bay Area Driving Academy and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
13. Privacy
Information submitted through our website is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By submitting forms through this website, you consent to our collection and use of information for scheduling, service, and communication purposes.
14. Communications Consent
By submitting your contact information, you consent to receive communications regarding:
