Carrie | Head Driving Instructor

I had heard great things about Carrie (from Sunnyvale Driving school) from some friends whose children were in the process of getting their license so I called her for my oldest son’s lessons.

She is a very personable, positive and professional driving teacher. I called her again for my middle son’s lessons and he just finished his 3rd lesson today. After each lesson, she makes sure to connect with the parent and go over what he needs to work on. I will definitely call her again when it’s time for my 3rd son’s time behind the wheel lessons. 1/6/2016

I first met Carrie 5 years ago when she provided behind the wheel training for my daughter. She did an awesome job (my daughter passed the driver’s test her first time!). So when it came time for my son to learn to drive, I again reached out to Carrie. Carrie was very responsive to my questions and got back to me quickly with an appointment time. My son reported back that he learned a great deal, and that Carrie gave him valuable tips that will help him be a better driver and pass his driver’s test. Carrie is really the best out there for behind the wheel training. I feel better as a passenger when my son is driving thanks to Carrie’s excellent instruction! 11/13/2015

I met Carrie through Sunnyvale Driving School and was impressed with her professionalism, warm personality and excellent skills as a teacher. I have tried several other driving teachers at other schools for my older children and Carrie is by far the best driving teacher we’ve ever met. She’s so great, I’m glad to see that she’s now branching out and starting her own driving school, the Bay Area Driving Academy. We will stick with Carrie in her new venture – I know she’s the best teacher for my son. He’s enjoying his lessons too, and learning really quickly. Carrie covers what is required for him to know for his test but also goes beyond that and makes sure he also knows other important things, like how to parallel park (which is no longer part of the driving test). Carrie is a wonderful teacher who is kind, professional, and passionate about what she is doing. My son has truly enjoyed working with her. Highly recommend her and will use again to teach my niece. 6/15/2016

I just moved to the Bay Area from Canada where I had zero driving experience. The thought of driving made me very nervous. Since you cannot rely on public transportation here in the South Bay, I decided it was time!

I have only had one lesson with Carrie so far but it was SUCH a great experience. After we introduced ourselves, she handed me the car keys and let me have at it! I’m not going to lie, I was terrified! Her assurance and general confidence made me feel so much better. Take note – they have their own separate brake and mirror so if anything goes awry, they have control! Carrie was very relaxed and cracked jokes knowing that I was nervous. It helped. She also answered every stupid question I had and I never felt ridiculous asking. I still feel nervous to drive but I truly believe that I will become a confident and smart driver.

There are so many other driving schools with terrible Yelp reviews which had me so worried! I’m so glad I found BADA – notice they have 5 stars? It’s for a reason.

UPDATE: I finished up my lessons with BADA in April and passed my test that same month with only 3 errors! I can absolutely say with confidence that these people know what they are doing! Let me also clarify that I didn’t have a car to practice on so I relied solely on my lessons with them in order to pass. I have been driving for almost a month (just recently bought a car) and I feel very confident in my ability to drive. I’m so grateful I had such a positive experience with a driving school! 2/15/2016
