Had a wonderful experience overall with Bay Area Driving Academy, but especially with Leroy and Scott. I’m an adult new driver who started with a lot of driving anxiety, which both instructors handled with ease. It made me feel very safe knowing that they knew the mistakes I was going to make before I could even make them. They also gave very gentle but thorough feedback and corrections throughout that helped a ton when practicing at home. The emails afterwards were great too, in that I knew what needed to be worked on specifically.

I took three lessons total (about two weeks apart) and then took my test, and passed on the first try. My final lesson with Leroy was about a week out from my test, and the timing on that was perfect– he helped fine-tune my skills so I was confident going to the DMV the following weekend.

I had a great experience at Bay Area Driving Academy and successfully passed my driving test on the first try! Learning to drive as an adult was quite daunting for me, especially with my tendency to get nervous, but the instructors at Bay Area Driving Academy made the process much more manageable.

Leroy, who I had most of my lessons with, was particularly outstanding. His calm and positive demeanor really helped to put me at ease and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. All of the instructors I worked with, including Forest, Clifton, and Scott, were knowledgeable, approachable, and had great attitudes.

I had also taken lessons with a couple of other driving schools (A-Z Driving and Advantage), but Bay Area Driving Academy stood out in terms of lesson structure, after-lesson feedback, instructor quality, up-to-date knowledge on road rules, and the convenience of online scheduling and appointment management. The only minor drawback was the need to schedule lessons a few weeks in advance due to limited appointment availability. (09/12/2024)

During the test, my examiner commented on how well I drove and even praised the driving school for the quality of instruction.
