Academy Driving Instructor Steven
Instructor Steven joined or Bay Area Driving Academy family in 2025, hailing from Gilroy, California – just south of San Jose. Steven is a very skillful driver, as well as a well-traveled instructor. Steven started his driving journey behind-the-wheel of a Gran Torino, admittingly, too much car for a 16-year old just learning to drive. However, he definitely enjoyed his ride! He is also a 13-year Navy veteran and has experience driving all around the United States. Fun fact – Steven lived in Italy for 3 years! All of his international travel, as well as his enthusiastic attitude to teach students have made him a fantastic addition to our Bay Area Driving Academy team. As a certified driving instructor, Steven is very punctual, professional and always has a great attitude. He is very friendly, kind-hearted, and has a calming presence.
On his days off, he enjoys spending time with his two adult daughters and his dogs. You might also catch him at the theater as he is a huge film buff; silent era up to current. His favorite film of all time is City Lights with the late, great, Charlie Chaplin. During a lesson, Steven has been known to ask his students about their favorite movie, or strike up a conversation about musical theater.
